About

Hi, I’m Erin!

By day I’m a data journalist, but by night I embroider photo-realistic portraits of folks’ beloved pets (and some other, weirder, things).

I took up embroidery during summer 2020 and quickly fell in love. Embroidery helps me relax and turn off the analytical part of my brain after long work days. At the same time, it scratches my itch to be super-obsessive: I think about every stitch, and use dozens and dozens of different colors of embroidery floss to get the shading just right.

Each portrait takes me months to complete, so I only take a couple commissions on at a time. If you’d like to get a piece from me, please sign up for my mailing list to be notified of when new commission slots open!
